READS LIKE A BOOK, NOT A LIST
Prose flows in paragraphs with small verse numbers, the way it was written to be read. Psalms and the rest of the poetry stay one verse per line, because those parallel lines are the form. Keep scrolling and the next chapter arrives on its own, so a book never stops at a button.

Turn verse numbers off for a clean page. Pick one of four reading faces, set the text size, the line spacing and the screen brightness, and choose from five palettes including sepia and a true black for reading at night. Full screen hides everything, the status bar included.

The words of Jesus appear in red, where the source marks them.
