This book is a book of guidance for people who want to take the Suluk journey to the point that a Sufi has reached. This book is not very thick, there are only 17 chapters or themes. If the book offered to readers today is only 50 pages thick.

For people who want to struggle in the world of Tariqah or Sufism, this book is suitable for consumption and study. The concept of the Suluk al-Murid perspective in the book Treatise on Adab Suluk al-Murid is actually the same as various Sufi concepts.

This means that this book also explains that saliks who want to start their journey, should go through the takhalli stage, then tahalli, then tajalli. Then in this treatise, there are explanations about several obstacles that the salik will encounter in the middle of their journey.

The author's name is Abdullah bin 'Alawi al-Haddad al-'Alawi al-Hasani. He was born in Tarim, Hadlramaut on the night of Thursday in the month of Safar in 1044 H and died on Tuesday, 7 Dzul Qa'dah in 1132 H.
