Everyone longs for a healthy and peaceful life, both physically and spiritually. If physical fitness is obtained by exercising, spiritual fitness is by exercising the soul. The soul (nafs) was actually created by God perfectly (Q. 91: 7–8), but it can be polluted if it is not taken care of (Q. 91: 9–10).
This book guides us to maintain and cultivate our souls based on the manners of the Koran, the morals of the Prophet Muhammad, and the examples of wise people from time to time. Al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi—his full name, Abû 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ibn Bisyr—was born in the early 3rd century AH and died in 320 AH. He was known as an ascetic hadith expert, a famous Sufi, and the author of various great works, including: Fountain of Wisdom and Let Your Heart Speak!
