This Android application is an explanation of Fiqh and Sharia by Sutomo Abu Nashr. In Pdf format.
This small book is nothing more than a development of an article that the author once published in one of the columns at rumahfiqih.com. Even though the title of this book is not much different from the article in question, and the substance is more or less the same, that doesn't mean there is absolutely nothing new in this development.
Discussions with various sources, critical questions from congregants in various forums, and of course additional reading of references related to themes which, although not very significant, are more or less enough to enrich the ideas of this small book.
Between Fiqh and Sharia. That is how this little book is titled. For those who have never been familiar with fiqh and sharia, hopefully this book will have an introductory function. And for those who already know a little, this book is enough to open a wider view and more than what was previously known.
But what is more important than that is that this book really wants to show dear readers how urgent it is for us to distinguish and then map between fiqh and sharia. Likewise, how urgent it is to know that the way of responding to these two terms, two objects and two areas must not be the same at all.
And the consequence of equalizing attitudes towards these two things is a phenomenon that we often witness directly with our eyes, or listen to and read about in various media. That is, some people's beliefs about the certainty of the truth of a fatwa, fiqh view or school of thought issued by a scholar.
The belief that the fatwa is none other than the Qur'an and Sunnah itself. The belief that the fatwa is Islamic, the denial and disobedience to it all (even though following the fatwa and other views of fiqh), is believed to be a form of disobedience to the point of disbelief.
Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
