Habib Umar bin Haiizh zidalah One of the world's leading scholars today, whose teachings are strongly colored by Sufism? In 1994, when Haru was 32 years old, he founded Dar al-Musthafa, a madrasa in Tarim City which now has thousands of students from various countries, from Indonesia to countries in Europe, Africa and the United States.

In recent years he has made more frequent missionary trips to many countries, including Islamic community centers and several well-known universities in England, the United States and Canada.

Al-Habib Umar bin Haiizh is one of the top 50 of The Muslim 500: The Worlds 500 Mast Influential Muslims, published by the Center for Muslim? Christian Understanding, Georgetown University, USA. In 2009, the New York Times featured Al-Habib Umar bin Hafizh and Dar al-Musthafa in one of its reports, while praising his moderate attitude.

Al-Habib Umar bin Hafizh was also one of the signatories of two influential international documents, namely the Amman Risale (2005) and A Common Word (2007), both of which were signed by world Muslim figures, including several Indonesian Muslim leaders. The Amman Treatise acknowledged the diversity of schools of thought in Islam, prohibited mutual disbelief among them, and called for Muslim brotherhood.

The Common Word (Kalimatun Sawa') is an open letter written by leading scholars from many countries to Christian leaders in the form of an invitation for productive dialogue based on the similarities between the two religions.

As the title suggests, this book is an extract of his thoughts in an effort to build brotherhood and foster dialogue between various faith groups.
