TaxGrit is a private, independent tax preparation and document organization app designed for individuals and families in Canada. It helps users enter, organize, and manage tax-related information securely for their own use or for sharing with a chosen private tax professional.

What TaxGrit Does
• Helps users organize tax-related information for personal or professional review
• Provides guided data entry for income, deductions, credits, spouse, and dependents
• Allows secure upload and storage of tax documents such as receipts and statements
• Tracks preparation progress and missing items
• Enables communication with a private tax professional or firm if selected by the user
• Supports electronic signatures on documents prepared within the app
• Displays invoices and payments related to private tax professionals, if applicable

What TaxGrit Does Not Do
• Does not file tax returns
• Does not submit data or documents to CRA or any government authority
• Does not retrieve information from government systems
• Does not represent a government entity

Payments and Invoices
If invoices or payments appear in the app, they relate only to services provided by private tax professionals or firms chosen by the user. Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. TaxGrit does not store full credit or debit card details.

Privacy and Security
TaxGrit collects only information voluntarily provided by users to deliver core functionality. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, protected by secure authentication and access controls. Personal and tax-related data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with government agencies.
