Zcalc

Zcalc is an offline tool for frontline workers to instantly calculate and classify malnourishment and wasting in children under 5 years old, based on WHO growth standards.

The app calculates Weight-for-Age (WFA), Weight-for-Height (WFH) and Weight-for-Length (WFL) z-scores using a child's age, sex, weight, and height or length.

By automating z-score calculations without the need for complex WHO growth charts and lookup tables, this app reduces the risk of misclassification and helps frontline workers make faster, more accurate assessments.
