World Teachers' Day, also known, is an annual event celebrated around the world.
Every year on World Teachers' Day, UNESCO and Education International (EI) launch a campaign to help people throughout the world better understand teachers and the role they play in students' and society's growth. To accomplish this, they collaborate with the private sector, such as media groups. Every year, the campaign focuses on a different theme. This year, World Teachers' Day commemorated the 20th anniversary of the 1997 UNESCO Recommendation Concerning the Status of Higher-Education Teaching Personnel,[5] which included the often-overlooked area of teaching personnel at Higher Education institutions in the conversation about teacher status. "The right to education involves the right to a skilled teacher," UNESCO declared as its theme for 2018. [nine] It marks the Universal Declaration of Human Rights' 70th anniversary (1948) and serves as a reminder that the right to education cannot be realised without well-trained and qualified teachers.
