About SOCIAL CONTRACT
Principles of Democratic Right, is a 1762 book by Jean-Jacques Rousseau in which he speculated about the ideal approach to build a political society. In Europe, particularly in France, the Social Contract inspired political reforms or revolutions. The Social Contract argued against rulers having divine authority to legislate. Only the sovereign people, according to Rousseau, have that all-powerful right.
