JMTM Driver

JMTM Driver is the workforce application used by contracted drivers of Air Jamaica Transportation Company (AJTC) and JMTM. It is not a consumer app and it is not available to the general public. Access requires a driver account issued by AJTC dispatch. There is no public sign-up.

WHAT DRIVERS USE IT FOR

- Go on and off shift, and see current availability status
- Receive assigned trips from dispatch, with pickup and drop-off details
- Navigate to pickup and drop-off locations
- Record arrival, passenger on board, and trip completion
- Record wait time where a trip requires it
- Message dispatch and the assigned passenger about the trip in progress
- Review completed trips and shift history

LOCATION

While a driver is on shift, the app records the vehicle's location and sends it to AJTC dispatch. This is how dispatch knows which vehicles are available, assigns the nearest driver to a trip, and tells a waiting passenger when their ride will arrive.

Location recording starts only when the driver taps GO ONLINE, and stops when the driver taps GO OFFLINE. It continues while the app is in the background so that a trip in progress is not interrupted when the driver switches to a navigation or phone app. A persistent notification is shown for the entire time location is being recorded, so the driver can always see that a shift is active.

Location is not recorded when the driver is off shift.

ACCOUNTS AND ACCESS

Driver accounts are created by AJTC. Drivers cannot register themselves. An account can be deactivated by AJTC at any time, and a driver may request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
