Cirrus Weather Watch Face

Cirrus is an analog weather face for Wear OS. One straight horizon runs from the lower left of the dial to the upper right, tilted fourteen degrees. Above it is sky. Below it is the instrument plate, and only that half carries a minute track - the sky is left empty, because you do not print a chapter ring on the sky.

THE WEATHER SAYS WHAT IT IS DOING
The weather block sits in the sky and it is the largest thing on the dial. With a reading in, it draws the condition mark, the temperature, the condition in words and the chance of rain. While it is waiting for the first sync it says WEATHER SYNCING. And if the watch has never been allowed to know where it is, it says WEATHER OFF and names the permission to turn on. It never leaves you looking at a blank corner, wondering whether you bought a broken face.

WEATHER NEEDS ONE PERMISSION, ONCE
Wear OS does not grant watch faces location access by default, so allow it here: Settings > Security and privacy > Permission manager > Location > Watch faces > Allow while using the app. Until you do, the dial tells you in words rather than going quiet. Everything else - the time, the date, the battery and both complications - works the moment you install it.

TWO COMPLICATIONS AND AN APP SHORTCUT
Two complications sit flush on the plate, icon then value, reading left to right like a line of instruments. They arrive showing heart rate and step count, and either one will take short text, a ranged value with its own bar, a monochrome icon or a small image - whatever you point it at, drawn the way its own provider draws it. Either may be left empty. A third slot sits in the upper right of the sky and takes an app: give it one and a tap opens it from the dial; leave it alone and nothing at all is drawn there.

THE PLATE
The minute track and the hour batons live on the lower half only. The date sits under the centre. Ten separate pips run along the bottom rim for the battery, with the percentage above them - a fuel bar you read by counting, filling from the left and emptying from the right.

ALWAYS-ON
The horizon, the hands, the date and the temperature. Nothing else. Measured at three per cent of the screen lit.

SIXTEEN WAYS TO WEAR IT
Four skies - Cirrus, Dusk, Squall and Noctis - and four accent inks - gold, ice, rose and lime. That is sixteen combinations, and every one was measured for contrast against the ground its ink is actually printed on. It is all chosen on the watch; there is no phone app to install.
