1- Ihram must [1] be from the meeqat for which the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, set the time:
His statement has been presented.
🔴 Warning:
It is not permissible to cross the meeqat without ihram for one who intends to perform Hajj or Umrah. Whoever is on the plane must enter ihram when he is in line with the meeqat, and should not delay until he lands in Jeddah.
Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen, may God have mercy on him, said: The mistake that some people make is that they pass over the meeqat on the plane, or from above. Align it and then delay until they land at Jeddah Airport.
This is contrary to the command of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and violates the limits of God Almighty.❝ “The rituals of Hajj and Umrah.”

[1] Among those who held the view that it is obligatory to enter ihram from the meeqat: Dawud, Ishaq, and the people of al-Zahir, and this is the apparent meaning of al-Bukhari’s tabulation.
He included in his “Sahih” the chapter on the people of Medina entering the ihram from Dhu al-Hulayfa, and not performing the ihram before Dhu al-Hulayfa.
See “Al-Mughni” (5/66), “Al-Majmu’” (7/202), and “Al-Muhalla” (822). Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen considered it preferable in “Al-Sharh Al-Mumti’” (7/64).
