تذکرۃ الاولیاء فارسی زبان کی معروف تصنیف ہے جو صوفیہ کے ذکر پر محمول ہے۔ شیخ فرید الدین عطار فارسی زبان کے معروف شاعر و نثر نگار اور صوفی ہیں جنہوں نے تصوف کے موضوع پر یہ بہترین کتاب لکھی۔ یہ تذکرہ امام جعفر صادق کے ذکر سے شروع ہوتا ہے اور اس کے بعد اویس قرنی، حسن بصری، مالک بن دینار، رابعہ بصری، ابراہیم ادہم، بشر حافی، ذا النون مصری، بایزید بسطامی اور جنید بغدادی جیسے بڑے بڑے صوفیہ کا تذکرہ کرتے ہوئے آگے بڑھتا ہے اور یہاں پر اس کا پہلا حصہ مکمل ہوتا ہے پھر دوسرے حصہ میں عمرو بن عثمان مکی، ابو سعید خراز، ابن عطاء، سمنون محب، حسین منصور حلاج وغیرہ کا ذکر کرتا ہوا آگے بڑھتا ہے۔ اسی ضمن میں صوفیوں کے اخلاق، اقوال، اوصاف، عبادات اور عادات کو بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ اس میں کار آمد نصیحتیں، دلربا حکایتیں اور نصیحت آموز واقعات سلیس فارسی نثر میں بیان کیے گئے ہیں۔ یہ اپنے عہد سے آج تک اپنی تمام تر شہرت کے ساتھ معروف ہے اور اس کے پڑھنے والوں کی تعداد کبھی کم نہ ہوئی۔ یہ کتاب تیرھویں صدی عیسوی کے شروع میں تحریر کی گئی تھی۔ اصل کتاب فارسی زبان میں ہے جس کا اردو ترجمہ مولانا زبیر افضل عثمانی نے کیا ہے۔
