Complete Qasidah Burdah is a digital application for reading, studying and listening to Qasidah Burdah — the masterpiece of Imam Muhammad Al-Busiri, one of the Qasidah in praise of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which has been most loved by Muslims for more than 700 years.

Qasidah Burdah consists of 160 stanzas of Arabic poetry which are divided into 12 parts: Muqaddimah, 10 Fasal, and Closing Prayer. Each chapter has its own theme, starting from praise for the birth of the Prophet, the greatness of his morals, miracles, the journey of the Isra Mi'raj, the glory of the Koran, to requests for intercession on the Day of Judgment.

ABOUT QASIDAH BURDAH

Qasidah Burdah was written by Imam Sharafuddin Muhammad ibn Said Al-Busiri (1212-1294 AD), a scholar, poet and Sufi from Egypt, a student of Sheikh Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi from Thariqah Syadziliyah. According to history, this qasidah was written when he was suffering from paralysis as a form of tawassul to Rasulullah SAW, and he recovered after dreaming that the Prophet wrapped a robe (burdah) over him.

This Qasidah has been translated into dozens of languages ​​and is read throughout the Islamic world at birthday gatherings, festivals and religious commemorations. In Indonesia, reading Burdah has become a tradition embedded in the life of Islamic boarding schools and science councils.

This application was developed by the Kawatama Foundation as part of efforts to digitize classical Islamic literature so that it is easily accessible to today's Muslim generation
