Dr. Verma understands that excessive weight not only affects his patients’ wellbeing, but also their health. Several of the common conditions treated at our doctor’s office remedy themselves when our patients lose weight.
In an effort to provide the best care for patients whose health would benefit from reducing their body weight, Dr. Verma earned certification as a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
Motivated by a goal to make his patients medically healthy, Dr. Verma works with each patient individually to develop realistic expectations for their weight loss journeys. Our scientific-based weight loss management program is customized for your medical history, goals, and expectations. It begins with Metabolic Testing, which measures your basic metabolic rate (BMR).
Most dieters have never undergone Metabolic Testing, which Dr. Verma offers as a standard of care. When you discover what is going on inside your body, you can finally unlock the mystery of your own metabolism.
The information gathered from your Metabolic Test will be used to calculate your Target Caloric Zones. With these Zones, you can learn what it means to “eat to your metabolism.” You will be able to eat the maximum amount possible and still lose weight. And because you will be listening to your body tell you what it needs to succeed, you will no longer struggle to keep the weight off.
During your first visit, Dr. Verma will ask questions and listen well.
