Stop Swarm is a different kind of screen-time app designed to help reduce doomscrolling and mindless scrolling.

Instead of blocking your apps or showing another warning you will immediately dismiss, Stop Swarm makes excessive screen time progressively harder to ignore.

Set your daily screen-time goal and use your phone normally. As you get closer to your limit, visual overlays gradually appear on top of your apps. Depending on the selected theme, your screen might slowly fill with pixel-art invaders, clouds, rain, or other visual interruptions.

The overlays do not intentionally intercept your touches, so your phone remains usable. Stop Swarm does not force you to stop using your apps — it simply makes doomscrolling and excessive screen time increasingly difficult to ignore.

You decide how the intervention behaves. Choose when the swarm starts, adjust its intensity, select a visual theme, and choose which apps Stop Swarm should appear over or ignore.

Private by design

Stop Swarm uses Android's Usage Access permission to calculate your daily screen time and the display-over-other-apps permission to show visual overlays.

It does not read your screen content, messages, notifications, or what you type.

Your screen-time totals, settings, app selections, and preferences remain stored locally on your device.
