About iTIVA plus Anesthesia

iTIVA is a simulation program that provides information about distribution of drugs based on mathematical models and calculate a dose required to achieve a desired target, plasma or effect site concentration, like a TCI pump (target controlled infusion), calculating schemes that can be implemented in volumetric infusion pumps based on pharmacokinetics principles to guide your TIVA or balanced Anesthesia. So you can now easily do manual TCI

Pharmacokinetic models

iTIVA has 25 drugs and more than 33 pharmacokinetic models, that are updated continuously:

-Remifentanil - ULTIVA
-Fentanyl

-Hydromorphone
-Morphine
-Sufentanil

-Alfentanil

-Ketamine
-Procaine
-Lidocaine

-Propofol
 - DIPRIVAN
-Dexmedetomidine - PRECEDEX
-Midazolam

-Penthotal
-Atracurium
-Cisatracurium
-Vecuronium
-Rocuronium
-Tranexamic
-Magnesium Sulfate
-Diazepam
-Heparin - ACT estimation
-Protamine

It also calculate the end tidal (Et) for Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, Desflurane to get the MAC age based in the Mapleson formula or Lerou nomogram.

- Record intraoperative milestones (like unconsciousness, BIS value, etc..)
- Share your case with other colleagues using QR codes
- Export all recorded information as an excel file

WARNING:
iTIVA is not designed to handle intravenous drugs for individual patients. Its use is limited to educational purposes to demonstrate pharmacokinetic principles when performing intravenous anesthesia. Therefore the user assumes all risks from the use of this application for clinical purposes.
Infusion schemes are obtained from concentrations based on models published in the medical literature; therefore concentrations achieved from these schemes can vary widely, in the same manner for clinical effects.
This application should only be used by people with extensive knowledge in Anesthesiology.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ)

What is iTIVA?

iTIVA is a simulation program that provides information about drug distribution and calculates the dose required to achieve a desired concentration. It is used for target controlled infusion (TCI) and can guide TIVA or balanced anesthesia.

What pharmacokinetic models does iTIVA have?

iTIVA has 25 drugs and over 33 pharmacokinetic models, including Remifentanil, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Morphine, Sufentanil, Alfentanil, Ketamine, and more.

Can iTIVA calculate end tidal (Et) for certain anesthetics?

Yes, it can calculate end tidal (Et) for Isoflurane, Sevoflurane, and Desflurane to determine the minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) based on age.

Can I record intraoperative milestones with iTIVA?

Yes, you can record milestones such as unconsciousness and BIS value during the procedure.

Is it possible to share cases with colleagues using iTIVA?

Yes, you can share your case with other colleagues using QR codes.

Can I export recorded information from iTIVA?

Yes, you can export all recorded information as an excel file.

Can iTIVA handle intravenous drugs for individual patients?

No, iTIVA is not designed for individual patient use. It is intended for educational purposes to demonstrate pharmacokinetic principles in intravenous anesthesia.

Are there any risks associated with using iTIVA for clinical purposes?

Yes, the user assumes all risks when using iTIVA for clinical purposes. Concentrations achieved from the provided infusion schemes may vary widely and have different clinical effects.

Who should use iTIVA?

iTIVA should only be used by individuals with extensive knowledge in Anesthesiology, such as anesthesiologists, physicians, anesthetists, residents, fellows, etc.
