Brief Introduction of AKQS:
Anjuman Khuddam ul Quran Sindh, Karachi (AKQS) is a philanthropic organization, committed to the cause of propagation of the teachings of Holy Quran. AKQS was established in the year 1986 by the renowned Islamic Scholar of this era Mohtaram Dr. Israr Ahmed (r.a), with the following Aims and Objectives.
1. Teaching and promoting Arabic Language;
2. General encouragement of the masses for learning and comprehending the Quran;
3. Promotion of the Quranic Sciences;
4. Education and training of educated minds for spreading message of Quran; and
5. Establishing Quran Academies for spreading the philosophy and wisdom of the Quran at the highest level of intelligentsia.

The vision of the Anjuman Khuddam-ul-Quran is to organize the religious studies and sciences that are open to men, women and children. Practice and promote principles of moderation, tolerance, inclusiveness, and conflict avoidance to create unity and enhance the level of morality and ethics among Muslims of our society which are the basic needs of the hour.

Who is Dr. Israr Ahmed (r.a)?
Dr. Israr Ahmed (r.a) is well known figure among the Muslims of Pakistan, India, Middle East and North America in general and their educated classes in particular because of his uniqueness in the style of teachings the Wisdom of Holy Quran. He was born in 1932 and graduated from King Edward Medical Collage in 1954. He wrote a significant tract in 1967 in which he explained his basic thought about the possibility of Islamic Renaissance only possible by revitalizing the Iman among the Muslims, particularly their intelligentsia. It is possible only by the propagation of the Qur'anic teachings. He established Markazi Anjuman Khuddam ul Quran in 1972. He Remained committed till his death in 2010 for the propagation of the teachings of Quran.
