For buildings that lease parking to tenants, guests and staff at a cost, Parkade digitizes the parking lot — or even part of the lot, like guest parking. Instead of property managers managing parking via spreadsheets or paper leases, or trying to manage parking with time limits, Parkade can be used to securely lease parking to your building. Parking can be rented short-term or long-term.
When tenants or staff have long-term parking, whether they got it through Parkade or were assigned the spot another way, Parkade can also be used to share empty parking among a building’s tenants and staff. Instead of 40% of an apartment building’s parking sitting empty overnight while guests struggle to park, Parkade match empty spots with those who need a place to park.
Simply put, through technology, Parkade makes parking work much better for your building.
Spots can be marked with an EV designation, bringing easy EV charging access to your building. Motorcycle, tandem and compact markers are supported, as are custom labeling for way finding (Level 1, Level 2, etc).
Buildings can set their parking to be open to the public or private/secure, easily limiting to just trusted building tenants who already have access to a gated garage. It makes for a great replacement for the traditional ways offices manage parking or residents share parking — like email or bulletin boards — because it includes a slew of features designed to make it easy to share parking. Specifically:
- Calendars. Group members can maintain a calendar of what their spot is available. It’s easy to add or remove availability in just a couple taps.
- Instant booking. Once spots have been made available via a calendar, they can be instantly booked by any other trusted tenant in the group. Even in the middle of the night!
- Payments. Parkade handles all payments and payouts, so you never need to manually collect payment. Free reservations are also supported (no cost!), while Parkade just takes a small percentage of any paid transactions.
- Monthly billing. Monthly, long-term reservations are billed on the same date each month, and spot owners are paid out on the same cadence.
- Notifications. Both renters and spot owners receive notifications via push and email of important events, like reminders at the end of your reservation.
