About Shadow — Stone
Time on stone. Shadow is a large, crisp digital clock carved into a matte natural-stone dial. You read the time at a glance; the dial's character comes from the material, not the typeface.
NUMERALS CARVED IN STONE
The digits are carved into the stone: a dark recessed body gives depth and a bright lower rim catches the light, completing the engraving. The stone itself glitters quietly — tiny mica crystals twinkle in the surface, and a soft light glides along the engraved outer ring to mark the seconds.
LIGHT AND SHADOW
A matte raking light from the upper right grazes the surface; the lower left stays in cool shade. There is no bright hotspot — the light is low, matte and directional, like real stone. A single soft shadow wedge sweeps the dial as the hours pass, its tip marked in the stone's own metal.
RAISE YOUR WRIST
When the dial wakes, the long light-and-shadow sweep across the stone glides once, gently, and settles. Understated, about a second, low contrast. Prefer it still? Turn Animations off and the sweep stays on its frozen final frame — the dial never changes.
THREE STONES
• Sandstone — warm khaki stone, brass details
• Basalt — cool graphite, silver details
• Terracotta — fired earth, copper details
A DATA ROW YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ
Heart rate, steps and weather — with values sized for arm's length and icons you recognise instantly. Hide what you don't want and it is gone completely; we leave no shrunken or faded placeholder behind.
CUSTOMISATION
• Material — Sandstone / Basalt / Terracotta
• Animations — light sweep, mica sparkle and the gliding second light
• Time format — System / 12-hour / 24-hour
• Show heart rate / steps / weather
ALWAYS-ON DISPLAY
When the screen sleeps the stone recedes, leaving a slim moon-silver digital clock, a small date and four cardinal ticks on deep black. Optimised for AMOLED: around 1% of pixels lit, easy on the battery.
Wear OS 5+ · Watch Face Format · no ads, no tracking, no internet permission.

What’s new
Version 1.1.0 · Updated July 28, 2026
Version 1.1 - AM/PM: the mark is now carved into the stone in the same style as the date, and a size larger - measured contrast is about three times the old marker. It used to vanish completely in always-on display; it is there now. Hidden in 24-hour mode. - Settings: clearer titles and option names; the three data fields are named by position (Left / Center / Right field). - Small visual fixes.
