Logic Pro X just reached a remarkable plateau in its continuing development. Version 10.5 is the most important and feature-rich release since 'X" was introduced in summer of 2013. It has two major new workflows: the Live Loops grid (with its deep Logic Remote integration) and the Step Sequencer. These new compositional playgrounds deliver production features designed with Hip Hop and Electronic music producers in mind. They are also powerful tools for any musician looking for beat-based inspiration to jump-start their tracks.

It also has 3 new instruments. Quick Sampler with its lightning fast drag and drop workflows. Sampler-the long-awaited replacement for the EXS24. And Drum Synth to create custom designed electronic drum sounds. Together these new instruments bring a lot of creativity to the Logic Pro X experience.

There's also the new Pattern Loops, generated by the Step Sequencer, that are a new addition to Logic's massive library of loops. Auto Sampler lets you quickly create a sample instrument from any AU, or hardware synth. Drum Machine Designer has been completely overhauled and untethered from Ultrabeat. DMD can be mapped to any Logic instrument or 3rd-party soft synth in your collection. There's a ton of new content and loops. Great new Starter Grid templates and some really handy channel strip shortcuts that make the plugins easier to work with and setting up a mix a whole lot faster.
