While the offline Gemma models are completely free with unlimited token once downloaded into your supported Android mobile device.

OFFLINE AI & PRIVACY: VEV is a local-first AI assistant. By utilizing downloadable Google Gemma models optimized for Android, conversations are processed directly on your device. Once a model is downloaded, your prompts and responses remain local and under your control without requiring an internet connection. VEV does not collect, store, or transmit chat data from on-device models. Cloud processing is only used in exceptional cases (e.g., local model failure or while downloading the first Gemma model) to ensure continuity. Note: Model downloads require significant storage and data.

PROCESSING SPEED & PERFORMANCE Since VEV processes AI locally, speed depends on your hardware:
• HIGH-END DEVICES: Flagship devices with dedicated AI processors (NPU) or high-performance GPUs will experience near-instant responses.
• LOW-END DEVICES: On budget-friendly devices where the CPU handles prompt processing, you will experience significantly longer wait times. Please be patient while the model processes your request.

AI SMART ASSISTANT & REAL-TIME Q&A: Tackle complex problems with personalized, AI-generated responses. VEV is optimized for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields, helping you study, code, or work on technical projects more efficiently.

MULTIMODAL: IMAGE & FILE ANALYSIS - VEV is fully multimodal. Upload photos or files for instant recognition and analysis. Leveraging Google Gemini and Gemma models, VEV can identify objects, analyze documents, and interpret visual data based on your specific prompts.

PRACTICAL USES VEV is a general-purpose assistant ready for any topic—from creative writing and technical explanations to daily planning—provided content adheres to built-in AI safety guidelines.

SECURITY & DEVICE COMPATIBILITY To protect your privacy and the AI infrastructure, VEV utilizes Google’s Firebase "App Check" technology.

WHAT IS FIREBASE APP CHECK? This security layer verifies two critical things:
1. Authenticity: Confirms the request comes from the official, unmodified VEV app.
2. Integrity: Ensures the app is running on a genuine, untampered Android device. This allows us to offer high-performance AI services for free while preventing unauthorized or malicious activity.

COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Devices that do not meet Google’s Play Integrity requirements will be unable to access AI chat features. This includes:
• Rooted Devices: Any device with modified system software.
• Custom ROMs: Devices running unofficial versions of Android.
• Emulators: Virtual Android environments or PC-based emulators.
• Uncertified Hardware: Devices not certified by Google for Play Store services.
• Modified Apps: Any version of VEV from unofficial third-party sources.
