About TMS-NAT Vorbereitung

Do you want to study human, dental, or veterinary medicine? Starting in 2027, a new aptitude test will replace the existing TMS and HAM-Nat tests: the TMSnat (often also written TMS-NAT). This app will help you prepare for the question sets planned for this new test.

Important note: This is an unofficial, independent learning app. It is not offered by the heiTEST coordination office of Heidelberg University, the University of Hamburg, or the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf and is in no way affiliated with TMS, HAM-Nat, or TMSnat. The questions are practice questions, not actual test questions.

Good to know: According to the heiTEST coordination office, TMS and HAM-Nat are expected to be discontinued in 2027, and the first TMSnat is planned for May 2027. According to the published plans (June 2026), the test will assess scientific knowledge, basic medical and scientific understanding, quantitative and formal problem-solving skills, fact learning, text comprehension, diagrams and tables, and arithmetic problem-solving. These question groups are taken from the TMS and HAM-Nat. Therefore, this app offers courses for both tests.







... Here's what the app offers:

• HAM-Nat preparation course with over 3,000 practice questions in 74 tests: Arithmetic problem-solving, mathematics (powers and logarithms, percentages, areas and volumes, probability and statistics), figural matrices, situational judgment, and subject knowledge in biology, chemistry, and physics

• TMS preparation course with over 3,000 practice questions in 86 tests, including basic medical and scientific understanding, reading comprehension, memory tasks, diagrams and tables, and mathematics

• Scientific fundamentals course for medical studies, which helps you refresh your high school knowledge in science, mathematics, German, and logic

• Explanations and solutions for many exercises, so you understand instead of just memorizing

• Study plan: An assistant creates a daily schedule for you leading up to your test date

• AI learning companion (beta) that answers your questions about exercises and learning content

• Progress indicator, course certificate, XP, and leaderboard to keep you on track Keep it up
• Community for exchanging ideas with other learners
• Learn whenever it suits you, directly on your smartphone (internet connection required)

Please note: The composition of the TMSnat is a preliminary draft and is subject to change. Some task groups from the courses, such as Figural Matrices, Situational Judgment, or Tube Figures, are part of previous tests and are not currently planned for the TMSnat. The download is free. To use it, you need a free account; registration is done via your email address. The course preview shows you the structure of each course. You unlock full access to a course permanently with a one-time in-app purchase; each course is unlocked individually. There is no subscription.
