Do you want to study medicine? Then the TMS, the test for medical studies, is an important topic for you: Many universities in Germany consider the score when allocating places in medicine and dentistry. With this app, you can start your TMS preparation exactly where you are right now: with realistic practice questions in the style of the TMS question groups, clear explanations, and timed tests.

Important note: This is an unofficial, independent learning app. It is not offered by the TMS Coordination Office at the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg University and is in no way affiliated with the TMS. The questions are practice questions in the style of the TMS, not questions from the actual test.

How to prepare for the TMS:

The TMS Preparation course follows the structure of the test. You'll become familiar with each question type, practice specific question types, and work through memory tasks with memorization and recall phases. After each test, you'll see your results and identify areas for further practice. Bonus lessons on medical knowledge, logic, and concentration extend beyond the TMS question types if you want to broaden your knowledge base.

The second course, "Scientific Foundations for Medical Studies," refreshes your high school knowledge in science and mathematics, along with German, logic, and general knowledge. This provides a solid foundation for the science and mathematics-related questions.

Here's how it works:

The download is free. To use the app, you'll need a free account, which you can register using your email address. The course preview shows you the structure of each course. You unlock full access to a course permanently with a one-time in-app purchase; each course is unlocked individually. There is no subscription.

Good to know: According to the official website, the TMS is expected to be replaced by an updated test starting in spring 2027. Check which test applies to you before registering.
