About Office Tycoon: Work Stories

So here's the deal.

You're the boss of an office now. Congratulations. Nobody voted for
you. HR is suspicious. The intern keeps calling you "dude." But the
corner office? That's yours.

Office Tycoon is an idle office tycoon game about running
the kind of workplace you've always wanted — one where the coffee
machine works, the printer doesn't jam, and you can fire Gary
whenever you want. Gary knows what he did.

HOW IT WORKS

You start with a desk, a chair, and a dream. Also one employee. He
seems fine. He's not. But you'll figure that out in about ten
minutes.

From there, you hire people. You fire people. You upgrade their
computers so they stop using "the system's slow today" as an excuse.
You build new departments. You expand to new floors. Slowly,
beautifully, you turn a sad little startup into a corporate empire
that your ex will see on LinkedIn and regret everything.

The money comes in even when you close the app. You know — like a
real executive. Go to your actual 9 to 5 job. Suffer through a
meeting that should've been an email. Come back. Stacks of cash
waiting. It's called leadership.

THE PEOPLE YOU'LL MEET

Every office has its characters. So does this one.

There's the intern who is way too excited about everything. The
senior employee who's been here for 15 years and will tell you
about it. The guy who microwaves fish. The woman who owns the
office. The guy who thinks he owns the office. Karen from
accounting. There's always a Karen.

You will love them. You will also fire some of them. This is
business.

WHY THIS ISN'T JUST ANOTHER OFFICE SIMULATOR

Most office simulator and business simulator games play it safe.
Spreadsheets. Charts. The crushing weight of late-stage capitalism
rendered in low-poly 3D.

We went a different direction.

Office Tycoon is a workplace simulation game that knows
it's a game. The art is bold American cartoon. The jokes are in
every corner. The characters are people you've worked with, except
now you can assign them to the IT department as revenge.

Think of it as a fun office simulator made by people who have had
jobs. Real, terrible, wonderful jobs.

One last thing. The office is empty. The intern is asking for
"guidance." Someone already used the last of the creamer.
