At that time, while living and working in the city of Adelaide, Southern Australia, Dad Stevenson talked with Sister Nien, a lecturer at the University of Adelaide, about the idea of ​​​​helping poor Vietnamese students to intelligence, academic ability, and determination to study at universities and colleges in Vietnam, but due to difficult economic and family circumstances, it is difficult to pursue the path of study. Dad Stevenson wants to provide some support so that these students can ease their difficulties and continue to study and realize their dreams and ambitions. Initially, through acquaintances in Catholic churches, Sr. Thanks to Father Nguyen Van Tuyen, a priest at a church in Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City, he found and introduced poor students in difficult circumstances, currently studying at universities and colleges in the city. .HCM.The formation and development of Viet Uc Family also depends on the great efforts of Mr. Doan Minh Nam - who worked side by side with Dad Stevenson to form this scholarship program.
