CHECKBOOK GENIUS 4 RUNS WITH ANDROID 11! This means that newer Android devices such as the S20/S21 line of smartphones from Samsung, or the newest Pixel devices from Google, will work with this latest release of the software. Many of you received these phones as gifts during the 2020 holiday season, or took advantage of promotions run by retailers and manufacturers and acquired these devices to replace older ones.

Many new smartphones from the 2020 holiday period shipped with Android 10 - such as the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G. If you have an Android 10 device, you should not notice any issues. But as of February 2021, Android 11 is starting to hit many Android 10 devices. Checkbook Genius 4 will work with these devices!

Android 11's new "scoped storage" scheme will require you to select a "root" folder for backup files. The installation process will guide you to a special system picker to select this folder on first use. If you are an existing user, make this change on the Preferences screen.

If you are a previous user of Checkbook Genius (Version 3 only, not any prior versions), you may import your Checkbook Genius 3 data into this beta and use it side-by-side without affecting your original Checkbook Genius 3 data. If Checkbook Genius is a completely new title to you, this paragraph does not apply to you.

If you used the Checkbook Genius 4 Beta 1, THOSE BACKUPS CAN BE IMPORTED INTO THIS SOFTWARE USING THE BACKUP CENTER.

For additional information about the app, tap the "About This App / FAQ" button on the home page of Checkbook Genius 4. For help on a particular function, look for a "?" button on the toolbar at the top of the page and tap it.

In 2009, Small Screen Software introduced Checkbook Genius to what used to be known as the Android Market, now the Google Play Store. Since then the app has gone through a number of major releases, with incremental changes in features and user interface design.

Celebrating over 10 years as an Android title, Version 4 of Checkbook Genius has a new visual look, more features, and has been redesigned to work better on today's modern Android devices.

The new version of Checkbook Genius has these features:

- New look and feel with a distinctive new font
- New filtering of transactions replacing "payee search", totaling all entries found
- Presets can now be accessed from the home page
- New color chooser for account color blocks lets you choose any color you wish rather than the 16 colors previously available
