- Create associations in your mind. Make a picture in your mind to make it easier for you to remember names, dates and objects. Doing this in your head can dramatically improve your ability to recall specific information, plus it can be a fun exercise.

- Drink some coffee or tea. Try making some green tea or drinking coffee to refresh your memory. The reasoning for this is pretty clear: Caffeine wakes you up, and that gives your brain a boost, which can help you remember specific information on the tip of your tongue.

- Reduce sugar intake as much as possible. Eating a lot of sugar is bad for long-term memory, so you should avoid sugar to keep your mind clear. Drink the coffee with cream and omit the sugar. Try to completely eliminate chocolate bars and junk food. In addition to being happier and healthier, it will be easier for you to remember things

- Weekly meditation. Meditate regularly if you want to improve your memory over time. Meditating bridges the gap between what's going on in your mind and your body. You may not see results right away, but meditating for 20-30 minutes a day could improve your memory in as little as a month. Find a nice quiet place to relax, sit down and do some guided meditation to start.
Even if you don't feel like it improves your memory, regular meditation will improve your mental strength, emotional well-being, and physical health, so it's definitely worth it.

- Do physical exercise. Exercising gets blood pumping through the body, which results in more blood flow to the brain

- Get at least 8 hours of sleep a day. Sleep is helpful for you to process large chunks of information, so you should get at least 8 hours of sleep every night if you want to remember things clearly.
