Mere Pass Tum Ho:

Mere Pass Tum Ho’s OST was a complete package; it had the most beautifully written lyrics with an equally soulful composition. Rahat Fateh Ali’s melodious voice definitely added to the appeal of this song. The fact that the lyrics were written by Khalil-ur-Rehman himself made it even more powerful because who would understand the essence of a story better than the person who penned it down.

Alif:

Alif’s OST was definitely one of the most special and beautiful OST’s heard this year. The fact that the lyrics had to have a meaning and were used to define the theme of the drama was a masterstroke because the word Alif alone is quite challenging to work with.

Ehd-e-Wafa:
Ehd-e-Wafa’s initial OST wasn’t too appealing even though it was sung by some of the most well-known singers. The reason for this was that it wasn’t too meaningful and more like a light-hearted song. The theme of this OST and the overall feel did not go well with the main idea of the play since the light-hearted storyline ended soon.

Ye Dil Mera:
Shiraz Uppal definitely composed a very cute OST for Ye Dil Mera. Although the story and the overall drama was quite grim but the OST has a happy feel to it and it matched the initial phase of Ana’s life perfectly when she was in love and pretty immature about how she approached her troublesome marriage.

Thora Sa Haq:
The OST of the drama serial Thora Sa Haq was sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali. His melodious and unique voice added a new level of charm to the OST and made it pleasant to hear. It is the kind of OST that could be played on repeat on long drives.

Deewangi:
Sahir Ali Bagga definitely deserves a round of applause for singing, composing as well as writing the lyrics of this song singlehandedly. Deewangi’s OST has all sorts of flavors to suit your mood and the fact that it has so many variations makes it a very interesting song to listen to.

Pyar Ke Sadqay:
Pyar Ke Sadqay had the most unusual on-screen couple and a love story that had viewers’ undivided attention. Therefore a romantic OST was perfect for this drama. Although Pyar Ke Sadqay’s OST was overplayed at times, it had the perfect lyrics to describe Abdullah and Mahjabeen’s love for each other. The composition was also unique and catchy.

Dushman e Jaan:
Drama serial Dushman e Jaan’s OST had a very unique feel to it and because it had to match the theme of the story, there was this daunting feel deliberately added to it which kind of worked and still didn’t take away from the fact that it was a very interesting OST to listen to.

Sabaat:
Sabaat’s OST was perhaps the most meaningful part of the drama! In fact, the OST was written and sung so beautifully that most people tuned into the drama after listening to it.

Kashf:
rama serial Kashf’s story dealt with a very grave subject, therefore it’s OST had to have all the elements that not only told the story but did justice to the essence of it.

Raaz e Ulfat:
Drama serial Raaz e Ulfat’s OST is the kind that slowly grows on you when you hear it again and again.

Mushk:
Drama serial Mushk’s OST is unique and appealing just like the drama itself. The lyrics are in Urdu and Punjabi which makes it different from the other OSTs.

Fitrat:
Drama serial Fitrat’s OST is definitely one of the best heard this year. It has a very pleasant kind of feel to it which puts you in a good mood.
