ABOUT SAPPA
Sappa is a new kind of hyper proximity based social network — where people can discover and connect with others in their immediate physical vicinity. You can — in realtime — browse through the profiles of people who are in your immediate field of view. Only the content that they wish to showcase is visible to you — so there is no breach of their privacy or consent. The system is designed to be fair playground — where you also get to know who all wanted to know you and viewed you. You can then make friends by sending or accepting friend requests and stay in touch with them through our in-app chat feature.

Sappa intends to create a world with no strangers. Whether you are at a concert, club, restaurant, airport, or just out and about — you no longer have to stay curious about who that someone you see is, or regret having missed out on someone. Getting to know someone in the real world just got a whole lot exciting and easier!

Say goodbye to boring old grids, lists, cards, and tables! Explore the all new, super fun, and intuitive Bubble View. People you see in your field of view will pop up as interactive floating bubbles. With an integrated hyper-realistic physics engine you can drag the bubbles around and tap on them to open a profile. The closer the person is to you in the real world, the bigger their bubble appears on your screen! Tap and hold on a bubble to explore more options!

THE MAGIC
Sappa uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to detect and show you nearby peers — in near realtime! After years of testing, research, and development we have built our own proprietary BLE framework that works across iOS and Android operating systems, even in the background state! We have made sure that the app doesn't drain any extra battery even after days of prolonged usage. For the app to work, your device must have Bluetooth enabled. Additionally, enabling location services makes our system work more efficiently and helps in faster detection of peers!
