IELTS is an internationally recognized test for testing English language proficiency. This exam is mainly for those whose mother tongue is not English. It is administered jointly by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment and was established in 1989. IELTS was essential for higher education mainly in UK and Australia. But in recent times, universities in North America, i.e. the United States and Canada, are also accepting this test score, and universities in most European countries accept IELTS. Anyone can participate in this exam, no educational qualification is required. There is no age restriction here either. British Council is one of the organizations that conduct IELTS test in Bangladesh.
