Letters and numbers tracing and writing app for preschool and kindergarten kids
Are you finding it difficult to teach your preschoolers and kindergarteners writing letters and numbers with correct formation? This app is just right for your kid. This is fun, engaging and developed by experienced teachers to teach your kids writing effortlessly and correctly. Unlike other apps this does not auto correct a child’s writing. Children really learn to write.
Children must learn to write letters and numbers with correct formation. Once they have learned how to construct letters or numbers correctly, they need to know about the sizing and placement of the letters so that the handwriting looks neat and legible. It is a gradual process, and children need guidance for this. Otherwise, children are likely to pick the wrong way of writing, which is very difficult to correct later.
Letters and numbers:
On each page, an animation repeatedly plays to show how to write letters and numbers with proper formation. Children watch the animation and try tracing independently on the big red letter. Kids can use a stylus or a finger to trace. The thickness of the line can be changed by selecting the pencil or the crayon. Tracing with a finger is similar to the activities done in preschools and kindergartens. It is like writing on a sand tray with a finger or on a slate with water. Writing with a stylus is similar to writing with a pencil on paper. So children start with finger tracing and gradually progress to paper-pencil writing.
The app does not auto-correct the writing. A sound will play if written with 80% accuracy, and a star award will appear with 100% accuracy. This app does not give any false sense of achievement to the kids. Accurate finger control happens, and children learn to write in a fun and engaging way.
Four lines writing:
Children need a larger space to move their hands when they start writing. Once children have perfected letter formation and construction, they must learn about letter sizing and spacing and keep their writing within the designated space of the page.
Kindergarten children learn to use the four lines on the page to guide the sizing of the letters. Chicken, giraffe, and monkey letters are useful for remembering which lines to put the letters on.
Chicken letters are small. They sit between the two middle blue lines. Like ‘a’, ‘c’, ‘s’. Giraffe letters are tall. They have long necks; they touch the top red line. Like ‘b’. ‘d’, ‘h’.
Monkey letters have a tail that falls and touches the blue bottom line. Like ‘g’, ‘y’.
Capital letters and numbers are all giraffe letters.
Pre-writing skills:
For children who need help with more finger control exercises, the Pre-writing skill pages are for them. By tracing different types of lines, they can practice various finger movements.
Before preschoolers begin writing, they must first learn to hold a pencil correctly. Cutting, sticking, colouring, and picking up small objects with their fingers helps children develop fine motor skills.
