Stories Nest is a read-aloud app for parents of kids aged 2 to 8. Pick your child's age, pick the lesson you want tonight (kindness, courage, sharing, patience, trying again, and more), and read. Every story is written to be read aloud, ends calm, and comes with three little questions to talk about after. Free, no ads, and nothing to sign up for.

THE STORY SHELF
Twelve stories written for reading aloud, four for each age band: 2 to 4, 4 to 6, and 6 to 8. Each takes 2 to 7 minutes, carries a read-aloud tip for the grown-up, and slows down on purpose so it works at bedtime. Painted covers, a text size you set once, and a focus mode that hides everything but the words.

PUPPET SHOWS FROM THE TOY BOX
Eight scripts of 3 to 6 minutes, with color-coded speakers, voice tips, stage directions, and moments where the kids shout back. Tap the animals you own (bear, fox, duck, frog, and eight more), add your own puppets by name with a painted face or a photo, and the shelf shows which shows you can perform tonight and which puppet could stand in.

MAKE YOUR OWN
Make a story: choose the age, a hero (an animal, or your child's own puppet, wearing their name if you like), a lesson, and a mood. A brand-new story is written for your family in about twenty seconds. Build a show: pick 2 to 4 of your puppets and get a script written for exactly that cast. Everything passes an automated safety check before you see it. Every family gets two stories and one show a month for free; Pro makes as many as you like.

LISTEN
Tap Listen and the story is read to you. Four pieces come as full-cast recordings with character voices, sound effects, and music, free for everyone. The rest are narrated on the spot, which is part of Stories Nest Pro.

Reading is free and stays free. Stories Nest Pro is an optional subscription that adds Listen on every story and script, story and show making whenever you like, and painted faces for your own puppets. $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year, billed through Google Play.
