About Tawasul dan Wirid Istighosah

Tawasul linguistically comes from the word "wasila" which means intermediary or way to get closer to Allah.

In the context of the Islamic religion, tawasul refers to efforts to get closer to Allah by using intermediaries, whether through prayer, pious deeds, or by mentioning the names of people or places that are considered to have a special closeness to Allah, such as the Prophet Muhammad, saints, or pious person.

Even though tawasul is a practice that is widely practiced by Muslims, there are several different views on this matter. Some scholars consider tawasul to be permissible, while others are more careful or even reject it, especially if it is considered excessive.

Meanwhile, Istighosah comes from the word "istighatha" which means asking for help or assistance. In practice, wirid istighosah refers to certain prayers or readings that are read regularly by someone to ask for Allah's help in overcoming certain difficulties or problems.

Istighosah is usually done in conditions full of trials or disasters, such as when facing disasters, life difficulties, or when looking for a solution to a problem.

Wirid istighosah often contains prayers asking for Allah's forgiveness, help and mercy, with the hope that Allah will grant these requests.

In practice, wirid istighosah is often done in assemblies or together in certain prayers, and the main aim is to ask for Allah's help for various difficulties faced by Muslims.
