The eSTEPS application has been developed for the World Health Organization's STEPwise approach to noncommunicable disease risk factor surveillance (STEPS). The application is intended to be used by data collectors during fieldwork in a population-based household survey to register sampled households and to select one eligible person per household to participate. Alternatively, the app can be used to register individuals directly sampled for participation in the household survey. The app works in conjunction with the ODK Collect app for the entry of individual responses to the questionnaire used in the household survey. Supported languages are Arabic, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
