Raffi Farid Ahmad or commonly known as Raffi Ahmad was born in Bandung, West Java on February 17, 1987. He is the eldest of three children, from the late Munawar Ahmad who is of Pakistani descent and Amy Qanita who is of Sundanese descent. Her two siblings are named Syahnaz Sadiqah and Nisya Ahmad.

Raffi Ahmad once said about his family tree that he grew up in a family of Pakistani blood that was passed down from his grandfather. Raffi Ahmad started his career when he was still in junior high school starting from taking part in shooting soap operas, FTV or even feature films.

Starting from being a supporting actor in his first soap opera, Show One Star (2002), Raffi Ahmad just skyrocketed in Senandung Puberty as the main character with Bunga Citra Lestari. After that, Raffi Ahmad continued to appear on youth soap operas and FTV and even feature films, one of which was a film called Love Is Love. Raffi Ahmad's slick acting in the film, which also stars Acha Septriasa and Irwansyah, received praise from film critics.
