About My Estate Access Guard

My Estate Access Guard is the gate-side app for security guards at estates running on My Estate Access. It replaces the paper visitor book at the boom.

A resident generates a short code and sends it to their visitor. The visitor reads it out at the gate. You type it in, and the app gives you one clear answer.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Start your shift. Codes for your estate are loaded onto the phone.
2. Type the code the visitor gives you.
3. Act on the verdict: admit, refuse or flag.

IT KEEPS WORKING WITH NO SIGNAL

This is the part built first. Your phone holds its own copy of the estate's live codes, so if the line drops at the boom you carry on checking exactly as before. Entries are stored on the phone and uploaded the moment the connection returns.

A network outage never becomes a gate outage. Nobody waits at the boom because the tower is down.

ONE CLEAR VERDICT

Admit: the code is good and has been used up. Online, you also see the resident's name and house, so you know who the visitor is here for.

Refuse: the code is wrong, already used, or past its six hours. You are told which, so you can say it out loud without arguing.

Flag: the code was already checked in somewhere else. It is recorded for the estate manager rather than silently waved through.

EVERY CHECK IS RECORDED

Refusals too, with the reason. The shift log shows what came through on the shift you are on, so a handover is a screen rather than a conversation.

SHIFTS

Start a shift when you come on duty and end it when you go off. Codes load against the shift, and the log belongs to it.

NO NEW HARDWARE

Runs on an ordinary Android phone. No scanner, no turnstile, no tablet mounted at the boom. Most estates use one handset per shift.

BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD

This app is for guards on duty at an estate that already uses My Estate Access. Your account is created by the estate, not by signing up here — if you do not have one, speak to your estate manager.

Residents should install the My Estate Access app instead.
