About Icarus - Artillery GPS

- This app provides some of the firing command elements of an artillery battery and developed for individual artillery trainings. People who uses this app should not trust the calculated values and never use them on real life. All of the military terms, formulas and glossary were found on web. No information is classified.
- Write the grid coordinates of the target in call of fire menu and press calculate. The coordinates will be saved and parameters will be calculated.
- If the coordinates of target had saved before and GPS is enabled, red needle shows magnetic north and howitzer arrow shows AOF. And during the march howitzer arrow shows Angle of Fire (AOF) simultaneously.
- In datum selection menu select the appropriate datum for firing region. Target coordinates, orienting point coordinates and GPS position coordinates must be same datum to get correct parameters.
- If GPS position values are different from Orienting Station Grid Coordinates, the user should set the correct position values and calibrate GPS right on the orienting station.
