Rafiqa is a senior care app built so elderly parents can use a smartphone without fear — a big button phone experience with large text and a simple home screen; no complicated menus. For adult children who want to track an elderly parent and stay close as a family caregiver, it also offers location tracking and fall detection. The app contains no ads.

Use Rafiqa free for 7 days — no card details required. Your trial starts the moment your parent connects, so there is no rush to set things up. If you subscribe, the first 7 days are free of charge as well and you can cancel anytime. That is 14 days in total without paying a penny.

One app, two sides: your parent uses the simplified interface, while you manage their settings and follow their status remotely from your own phone. Setup is as easy as entering a family code.

FOR THE PARENT

• Phone — See contacts in large text and call with a single tap. Add and edit contacts.
• Quick SMS — Keep frequently used messages as templates and send them with one tap.
• Reminders — Morning, noon, evening and bedtime reminders, marked as seen when done.
• Optional faith content — Prayer times, a dhikr counter and shared family Quran reading. They start switched off; you choose at setup and can change it at any time.
• Radio — Favourite stations with one tap, keeps playing with the screen off.
• Magnifier and Flashlight — For reading small print and seeing in the dark.
• App Shortcuts — Bring frequently used apps onto the home screen.
• Measurement Journal — Record pulse, weight and measurements you name yourself.
• Help Button — Send an emergency alert to the family with one tap.

FOR THE CAREGIVER

• Location — See your parent on a map and define safe zones. Get notified when they leave one.
• Fall Detection — Be alerted immediately if a possible fall is detected.
• Inactivity Alert — Find out if the phone has not been used for a period you choose. Quiet hours can be set for the night.
• Reminder Tracking — See whether a reminder was marked as done.
• Remote Setup — Manage your parent's alarms, reminders and home screen layout from your own phone.
• Measurement Tracking — Follow recorded measurements, the daily step count and sleep.

ACCESSIBILITY

Every parent-facing screen uses high contrast, a minimum 18pt font and large touch targets. Text size can be increased inside the app. Screens that are harder to use include step-by-step hint pages.

PRIVACY

Your contacts, camera image and call list never leave your phone. Location and health data are shared only with family members matched by your family code; they are never used for advertising or sold. You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app or from our website.

SUBSCRIPTION

Starts with a 7-day free trial. Rafiqa Family covers one parent, Rafiqa Family Multi covers two. Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and can be cancelled at any time.

Rafiqa is a family care and personal wellbeing app. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Measurement entries are records you type in yourself; the app does not interpret them and does not give medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.

Fall detection and the help button work through your phone's sensors and internet connection. They can miss an event or trigger by mistake, and they do not replace emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
