আগামী বছরের ২ এপ্রিল বিপিএল শুরু হবে। বিপিএলে অংশগ্রহণ কারী দলের সংখ্যা এবারও বাড়ছে না। বিপিএলের জন্য এক মাসের বেশি সময় না পাওয়ায় এইবার আর বাড়ছে না দলের সংখ্যা এমনটি জানিয়েছেন, বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের পরিচালক জালাল ইউনুস।

দেশের ক্রিকেটের উন্নতির জন্য এবার বিপিএলের দলে বিদেশি ক্রিকেটারদের কোটা কমিয়ে আনার ব্যপারে সম্মতি দিয়েছেন বিপিএল কতৃপক্ষ। যদি শেষ পর্যন্ত এটি ঠিক থাকে তাহলে বিপিএল ২০২২ এ প্রতি দলে তিনজন করে খেলোয়াড় বিদেশি কোটায় খেলতে দেখা যাবে।
