Babies love white noise - an even noise background that resembles the usual sounds in mom's tummy. White noise helps children sleep longer and stronger, helps to fall asleep faster, can calm the child or even stop crying.

If you have a big family and life goes on as usual, while the youngest child is sleeping - white noise in the sleeping baby's room can be your salvation. And he will also need it if more than one child sleeps in the room, one of the parents snores or, getting up early in the morning, certainly wakes up other family members.
White noise can and should be used throughout the duration of night and daytime dreams, under the following conditions:
- The volume of white noise (at the head of the baby) does not exceed 50 dB.
- The source of white noise is no closer than a meter from the place where the child sleeps.
- The sound of white noise is comfortable for all family members who sleep in this room.

If the baby cries a lot (for example, from tiredness, over-excitement or stress), white noise, especially in combination with rocking, sucking and swaddling, is really capable of working wonders. And so that the miracle happens, it is extremely useful to know 2 rules for using white noise in such a situation:

When a baby cries, white noise should sound a little louder than a baby’s cry. The kid should hear him through his loud cry, "learn" and start listening.
As soon as the baby calms down (as a rule, after 1-5 minutes), it is necessary to turn down the volume of white noise to 50 dB (the sound of rain or water from the shower).

Please note that the noise of the hair dryer from the example above helped the mother to stop the crying of the baby and contributed to the relaxation of the child. The use of such a noise level (hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, noise of a city street) is permissible for a short time (a few minutes) in order to calm the crying child.
