About Kepta - Message Archive

Kepta quietly saves the notifications your apps show you, so your message history
stays yours — even when a sender deletes their message afterwards.

Everything happens on your phone. No account, no internet connection, no ads, no
analytics. Your messages are never uploaded anywhere, because Kepta has no
network permission at all.

YOU DECIDE WHAT IS RECORDED

Nothing is saved unless you switch that app on. Everything else is discarded the
moment it arrives. You can also stop recording a single conversation without
disabling the whole app.

• No internet permission — the app cannot send anything anywhere

HONEST LIMITS — PLEASE READ

Kepta can only see what a notification actually contains, so:

• It cannot recover anything sent before you installed it
• Muted chats produce no notification, so nothing is saved from them
• Some apps do not attach photos to notifications. Where the image is missing,
Kepta saves the message but cannot save the picture
• Deletion is only labelled when the app updates its notification. Some apps remove
a message silently, and Android provides no way to tell that apart from you simply
reading the conversation
• Notification access must stay switched on. Some phones stop background apps to save
battery — if that happens, Kepta warns you that recording stopped

Kepta saves notifications sent to you. It is not a tool for monitoring another
person, and must not be used as one.
