When this balance of bacteria is upset by toxicity, prescription usage, stress, infection, trauma, or thoughts, it weakens the lining of the gut and leads to leaks. These leaks create an immune response that can be manifested in symptoms such as weight gain, thyroid disease, hormone imbalances, and autoimmune conditions.
