About Professor Roy Dean

Roy Dean is an expert martial artist who specializes in the art of Jiu Jitsu
Apart from his one-to-one training sessions, his inspiring videos on YouTube as well as online tutorials via apps, and digital libraries have educated people around the world.

Roy Dean’s martial education is well rounded, holding first degree black belts in Kodokan Judo and Aikikai Aikido, a third degree black belt in Japanese Jujutsu and 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He continues to be a student of Roy Harris, and is recognized as a black belt by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), with affiliated academies around the world.
Professor Dean has written about his adventures in two books,"The Martial Apprentice" and "Becoming the Black Belt."
