Bush, holding the hand of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. This adult hand is traditional in parts of the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean region.

During demonstrations, demonstrators sometimes hold hands in solidarity. This is called a "human chain". During some demonstrations in Asia, several million people have adhered to this practical behavior.
