The Burn Monitor application is an important tool for fighting fires in various areas of the state, including parks, urban and rural areas. Using environmental satellite technology, the application quickly identifies fire outbreaks and sends automatic alerts to competent bodies. This system significantly increases the effectiveness of firefighting operations, providing a quick and efficient response, essential for minimizing environmental and social damage.
Among its main features, the application allows citizens to have access to information on where fires occurred in their municipality, as well as the possibility of registering the occurrence of a fire, thus helping to make strategic decisions by the competent bodies, strengthening the joint effort to protect the environment and ensure everyone's safety.
Developed by the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development - SEMAD, through the Goiás Meteorological and Hydrological Information Center - CIMEHGO, the application reflects the commitment of the Government of Goiás and the Secretariat to use technological innovation to protect the various areas of the State against fires, guaranteeing environmental preservation and the safety of the population.
