About Carrossel Supermercados

Carousel Supermercados is a family business, opened on November 11, 1972, in São Lourenço, together with a building materials store and the representation of Antárctica drinks, by the partners of the company Casa Dutra Ltda:

João Flori, José Carbone Filho, Miguel Arcanjo Gorgulho and José Ildefonso Fernandes. In July 1973 this company was dissolved and each of the partners took on part of the business. José Ildefonso, in partnership with his brother-in-law Lourenço Sérgio Nogueira, took over the self-service part, today Carousel Supermercados. In October 1975, Lourenço Sérgio Nogueira left the company and José

Ildefonso took over the company alongside his wife Regina. Over time, the children were admitted to the company and currently manage the company: Heli and José Carlos (since 10/01/1972), Dimas (since 12/31/1980), Flávio (since 01/02/1984) , Luciano (since 12/16/1990) and Regina Célia (since 11/01/2003). In 1988 José Ildefonso left, starting to manage Sítio Carrossel.

The family held a vote and son Heli was chosen to run the company, continuing the administration, together with his brothers. The company reaches its 50th anniversary with five Carousel stores in the cities of São Lourenço, Caxambu, Baependi and Itanhandu and a store under the Semper Nosso banner, in the city of São Lourenço, currently generating more than 600 direct jobs. And we are already planning to grow in the coming years, creating more jobs and serving our customers with excellence.
