Attempting to implement noise cancellation with your smartphone is a fascinating endeavor that involves recording the ambient noises in your surroundings and subsequently identifying the primary frequency of the intrusive noise. Once this frequency has been determined, you can then generate an inverted or phase-shifted version of the same frequency and play it back through your phone's speakers. This innovative technique can more or less cancel out the unwanted noise, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment.

But it has to be said, that this approach to noise cancellation with a smartphone is not without its challenges and limitations. It relies on the assumption that the intrusive noise has a consistent and identifiable frequency, which may not always be the case.
