A catechism must faithfully and organically present the teaching of Holy Scripture, of the living Tradition in the Church and of the authentic Magisterium, as well as the spiritual heritage of the Fathers and saints of the Church, to allow us to better understand the Christian mystery and revive the faith of the people of God. He must take into account the explanations of the doctrine that the Holy Spirit has suggested to the Church over time. He must also help to illuminate with the light of faith new situations and problems which had not yet arisen in the past.
