Under the hood, the 13B-REW unit was the first mass-produced inline twin-turbo engine exported from Japan. Mazda RX7, which produced 255 hp between 1992 and 1995, increased these values to 265 hp (1996 - 1998) and 280 hp (1999 - 2002). Transmission options offered were 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
